Job Title: Laser OperatorJob DescriptionThis role focuses on operating mechanical stamping punch presses and related fabrication equipment to produce high-quality metal components. You will interpret shop orders and blueprints, perform precise measurements, and ensure all parts meet specifications while following established quality and safety standards in a climate-controlled, laid-back manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Operate manual, part-in/part-out mechanical stamping punch presses to produce metal components according to production requirements.
- Review and interpret shop orders, work instructions, blueprints, and inspection records to ensure accurate setup and production of quality parts.
- Examine and measure products to verify conformance to specifications using measurement equipment as specified on inspection records.
- Adjust machine settings and processes as needed to maintain consistent product quality and minimize defects.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate production and quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Comply with all policies, processes, and systems of the ISO quality management system to support continuous improvement and quality assurance.
- Follow all safety procedures and support the commitment to a safe work environment as outlined in the safety vision and safety manual.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including basic machine care and housekeeping tasks.
Essential Skills- At least 1 year of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience operating machines in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate mechanical stamping punch presses and related fabrication equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop orders, and work instructions.
- Ability to use measurement equipment as specified on inspection records to verify product conformance.
- Familiarity with punch press and press brake operations.
- Understanding of fabrication processes in a metal manufacturing setting.
- Ability to follow and comply with ISO quality management system policies, processes, and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
