Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations
- Support the monthly close process and ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and timely
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Record and post month-end adjusting journal entries
- Prepare daily cash management reports
- Monitor cash activity and complete daily bank reconciliations
- Process cash deposits and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting
- Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
- Support additional accounting and financial projects as the company continues to grow
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a major company or large corporate division
- Public accounting experience is preferred but not required
- CPA or parts passed is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience in an Architecture, Construction, Professional Services or Project Accounting is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
