Job Description:

The Production Technician works in a variety of roles within a food manufacturing plant, focusing on processing and packaging operations. You ensure that products meet strict food safety and sanitation standards while supporting efficient production and packaging activities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production and packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment to meet daily output goals.
• Monitor processing and packaging lines to maintain consistent product quality and adherence to food safety standards.
• Follow established sanitation procedures to keep equipment and work areas clean and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Handle general production tasks such as loading materials, assembling components, and packing finished products.
• Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods as needed.
• Inspect products and packaging for defects and take corrective action when necessary.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• General production experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Forklift experience and ability to operate forklifts safely
• Willingness to perform general labor, assembly, and packing tasks as needed.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain high food safety and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machine operating experience in a production or packaging environment (preferred).
• Experience working in food manufacturing or other regulated production environments.
• Comfort working with packaging equipment and production machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Robinson, IL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
