The Maintenance Technician II supports the operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution machinery throughout a high-volume facility. This role focuses on keeping complex mechanical and robotic systems running safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operational performance.

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including mechanical and robotic components.
• Inspect pneumatic systems throughout the building and perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
• Support the operations maintenance team in diagnosing equipment issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in accordance with facility procedures.
• Follow established safety protocols and best practices while working on equipment and within the facility.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance colleagues to prioritize work orders and respond to equipment failures promptly.

• Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician working with mechanical equipment.
• Ability to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling systems.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic systems and their maintenance requirements.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and maintenance procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical and pneumatic issues.
• Commitment to safe work practices while performing maintenance tasks.

• Prior experience in a fast-paced distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with robotics or automation systems used in packaging and material handling.
• Basic documentation skills for recording maintenance work and equipment status.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with operations and maintenance team members.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment as the facility evolves.

This role is based in a high-volume facility that uses material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution machinery, including mechanical and robotic components. Work is hands-on and performed on the floor around operating equipment, which may involve standing, walking, and working in areas with moving machinery and conveyor systems. Maintenance tasks may occur during varied shifts to support continuous operations, and technicians follow established safety procedures and facility guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and automated systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
