Job Summary The Mach ine Operator is responsible for operating packaging and production equipment in a manufacturing environment while ensuring product quality, workplace safety, and operational efficiency. This role requires monitoring equipment performance, performing quality inspections, troubleshooting operational issues, and maintaining compliance with company safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work flexible rotating shifts in a fast-paced industrial setting. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Production Ope rate packaging and production equipment in accordance with established procedures. Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient and safe operations. Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment and production issues to minimize downtime. Ensure the safe and smooth operation of personnel, equipment, and products. Maintain productivity and quality standards throughout the production process . Quality Control Perform routine quality inspections of products and packaging. Identify and report product defects, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations. Follow quality control procedures to ensure products meet company specifications. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or hazards to management. Participate in safety programs and initiatives Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Maintain compliance with attendance, workplace conduct, and operational standards. Shift & Schedule Requirements Work flexible schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. Support continuous manufacturing operations under the DuPont schedule or other assigned shift structures. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines. Ability to work flexible rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, packaging, or production environment. Experience working in an industrial setting with safety and quality standards. Familiarity with production equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures. Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods. Occasionally required to sit, reach, handle materials, and perform repetitive motions. Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs with assistance. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. Regular exposure to heavy machinery, moving mechanical parts, industrial ovens, and mobile equipment. May encounter elevated noise levels, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous materials.
