Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC Lathes with live tooling. The role involves performing dry runs on new programs, reading and interpreting customer prints and specifications, working with large dimensions, making offsets, and performing light program edits. Additionally, you will utilize precision measuring equipment to ensure quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes with live tooling.
• Perform dry runs on new programs to ensure smooth operations.
• Read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
• Work with large dimensions up to 24" in diameter and 125" in length.
• Make offsets and perform light program edits.
• Utilize micrometers, dial calipers, thread gages, and verniers to measure parts.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years' experience setting up and operating CNC lathes with live tooling.
• 3+ years' experience reading and interpreting customer blueprints and specifications.
• 3+ years' experience making offsets and performing minor program edits (G&M codes).
• 3+ years' experience utilizing precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating an overhead hoist or jib crane is a plus.
• Experience working with large dimensions is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Moraine, OH.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
