Job Title: MachinistJob DescriptionThis role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machining centers, including advanced 5-axis machines, to produce high-quality precision components. You will work from complex blueprints and engineering drawings, perform detailed inspections, and maintain tight tolerances while machining a variety of metals in a climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers, including 3-axis and 5-axis machines.
- Teach tools, load CNC programs, and set or adjust work and tool offsets as required for each job.
- Select, install, and verify appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices for each setup.
- Perform machine setup verification and conduct first-article inspections to confirm conformance to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and prints to determine machining requirements.
- Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances, typically maintaining tolerances of ±0.005".
- Monitor machining operations and make offset and process adjustments to maintain part quality and production efficiency.
- Machine a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and specialty alloys.
- Verify part quality using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
- Perform machine changeovers efficiently to support production needs and minimize downtime.
- Identify and resolve machining and tooling issues through effective troubleshooting.
Essential Skills- Minimum 2–5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Proven experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC mills.
- Proven experience setting up and operating 5-axis CNC mills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret GD&T and engineering drawings to ensure accurate machining.
- Proficiency in setting and adjusting work and tool offsets on CNC machines.
- Experience teaching tools and loading CNC programs.
- Strong skills in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
- Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances, typically ±0.005".
- Hands-on experience machining aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and specialty alloys.
- Solid troubleshooting skills for resolving machine, tooling, and process issues.
- Capability to perform first-article inspections and verify machine setups.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
