Job Title: Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Specialist accurately prepare, process, and ship customer orders in line with company standards, shipping regulations, and customer specifications. This role ensures shipments are timely, compliant, and of high quality while coordinating closely with carriers, internal teams, and customers to resolve issues and optimize shipping methods.
Responsibilities- Prepare, package, and ship orders in accordance with company standards, shipping regulations, and specific customer requirements.
- Ensure all orders are processed accurately and promptly, including reviewing the integrity and completeness of packaged contents before shipment.
- Address and resolve issues related to shipment quality, contents, delays, or carrier errors in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively coordinate with carriers and customers to determine the most appropriate shipping method, balancing cost, customer needs, efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
- Review, code, and process shipping invoices and related shipping documents as needed.
- Investigate and resolve escalated shipping concerns received from customer service, logistics partners, sales teams, or customers.
- Complete, maintain, and organize trade compliance documents and all required shipping paperwork.
- Review, submit, and track freight claims to ensure timely resolution and accurate documentation.
- Support inventory control by accurately recording shipments and receipts to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Perform data entry related to shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and complete system information.
Essential Skills- At least 3 years of shipping experience.
- At least 3 years of customer-facing experience.
- Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to handle inventory, including tracking, verification, and documentation.
- Experience working with major carriers such as FedEx.
- Proficiency in data entry for shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve shipping issues, delays, and carrier errors.
- Ability to interpret and process shipping invoices and related documents.
- Attention to detail to ensure shipment accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in a warehouse shipping environment.
- Familiarity with trade compliance documentation and regulatory shipping requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
