Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate workplace and corporate interiors projects through all phases of design and documentation.
- Create and maintain project drawings, models, renderings, and presentation materials using Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Independently execute, coordinate, and review design and technical documentation through Design Development and Construction Documents phases.
- Produce renderings and visual presentations to effectively communicate design concepts and support client meetings.
- Coordinate FF&E selections, specifications, vendor communications, and design intent throughout project execution.
- Prepare and support client presentations, project meetings, and presentation decks, ensuring materials are clear, compelling, and accurate.
- Collaborate with internal project teams, including pre-construction, to align on scope, budgets, schedules, and project deliverables.
- Track and manage your own project hours, workload, and phase progression to ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and other project stakeholders to maintain project accuracy, progress, and design integrity.
- Review project deliverables for quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards and client expectations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and consultants while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently with minimal oversight while actively contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Apply knowledge of codes and design guidelines to ensure compliant and functional design solutions.
- Support construction administration activities as needed, including responding to design-related questions and clarifications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, standards, and presentation quality within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design from an accredited school.
- 6–10 years of professional experience in architecture or interior design.
- Demonstrated workplace and corporate interiors project experience.
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign, for renderings and presentation materials.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for client presentations and decks.
- Strong experience working across all phases of a project, including Design Development and Construction Documents.
- FF&E experience, including reviewing specifications, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining design intent.
- Experience supporting client presentations and meetings, including preparation of presentation materials and decks.
- Experience coordinating with internal teams, including pre-construction, regarding project scope, budgets, and deadlines.
- Ability to manage and track your own project hours and phases to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and team members.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and design guidelines applicable to workplace and corporate interiors.
Additional Skills
- Accreditation in LEED, NCARB, NCIDQ, and/or WELL is a plus.
- Experience using Enscape
- Familiarity with Miro
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.26/hr.
