Take your expertise in speech-language pathology to the next level with a rewarding contract role supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This on-site opportunity offers the chance to truly make an impact, working directly with a diverse caseload at a single school location just outside Port Saint Lucie, FL. You will be the sole SLP on campus, providing individualized therapy and guidance to students in a collaborative educational setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) certification
- Valid Florida SLP licensure in good standing
- Previous experience delivering school-based speech and language services
- Comfort working independently with a resource caseload across a range of ages (PK–8th grade)
- Able to satisfy district credentialing requirements, including fingerprints (prior records from ACHA Clearinghouse can be considered)
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for eligible students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address articulated student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to maximize student progress and inclusion
- Accurately maintain documentation and prepare compliance reports as required by the school district
- Participate in IEP team meetings, offering insights and recommendations for service delivery
Assignment Details:
- Contract dates: ASAP start through June 1, 2027
- Two on-site days per week (7 hours per day), totaling 14 hours per week
- Serve a single campus, focusing on consistency and meaningful relationship-building with students and staff
