Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a Registered Nurse at a single school site for the upcoming academic year. This vital onsite contract position allows you to work closely with school staff, families, and students, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.
You’ll be responsible for supporting a diverse caseload, including children with complex medical needs—such as medication administration, diabetic management, and providing care for epilepsy —allowing every student the opportunity to fully participate in their education. Bring your clinical skills and compassion to a supportive educational setting, knowing you’re valued for every contribution.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license valid for Washington
- Previous experience as a school nurse or working with children preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medication and monitor students with chronic health conditions
- Deliver diabetic care, including monitoring glucose and administering insulin when necessary
- Provide support for students with epilepsy, including emergency intervention
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate health needs to educators and families
- Participate in health planning and emergency response for the campus
- Promote a culture of wellness and safety for students and staff
