Your expertise as an Educational Sign Language Interpreter will empower students with hearing differences, nonverbal communication, or limited communication abilities to participate fully in classroom and school activities. Ideal candidates bring:
- Certification or credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI level required)
- Experience in educational settings, ideally between 0-7+ years
- Confidence in interpreting for students with a range of communication needs, including those with no or limited speech
- Cultural competence, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
- Availability for in-person or hybrid scheduling (minimum 4 days per week on-site)
- Willingness to support student evaluations and participate as a team member in IEP meetings and classroom planning
