Step into an impactful educational role supporting students as an Educational Diagnostician in a vibrant school community near Harvey, LA. This contract-based position runs full-time from ASAP through May 27, 2027, following the school calendar for a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours weekly, seven hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The assignment encompasses working across one or more schools, with specific site and caseload details provided upon placement.
Your primary focus will be on educational diagnostics to evaluate and support academic and behavioral needs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate educational interventions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current, active Louisiana DOE certification as an Educational Diagnostician (Louisiana-certified candidates only)
- Immediate availability; only fully-credentialed applicants will be considered
- Experience in school-based evaluation and case management preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for effective teamwork and communication
- Ability to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting promptly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments for assigned students
- Develop, interpret, and present clear diagnostic reports to staff and families
- Collaborate with IEP/ARD teams to create and monitor individualized educational programs
- Comply with all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding assessment and documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely student records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
