Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist license (required)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred; highly qualified COTAs with several years’ experience in schools or pediatric care will be considered
• Must pass state-mandated fingerprinting/background check (fingerprints may already be in state system)
• Commitment to full-time work, 37.5 hours per week (no part-time schedules accepted)
• Strong documentation skills using SHARES/Onward and excel-based IEP logs
• Must not have previously worked for the district or have been terminated from any school district (affidavit required)

You Will:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students, balancing direct services (typically 30–40 students) and consult-only cases
• Provide treatment on a rotating schedule; most students are seen every two to six weeks, rarely weekly
• Conduct evaluations and participate in ARD meetings
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and compliance with IEP requirements
• Function as the lead OT within your assigned schools, with no COTA support
