Bring your specialized expertise to a vibrant elementary school environment as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role offers the opportunity to work .4 hours per week, with a schedule spanning September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You'll have a consistent presence on campus five days a week, providing essential support to students within a dynamic, inclusive setting. Candidates with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) teaching experience are especially encouraged to apply, though other licensures are welcome.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license; consideration given to professionals with alternative relevant certifications.
• Experience or training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) education preferred.
• Ability to create and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families.
• Adaptable, patient, and supportive of diverse learning abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students with special needs in a classroom setting during partial-day onsite instruction, five days a week.
• Implement best practices for special education, focusing on both academic and social-emotional growth.
• Design lessons and activities that comply with IEP goals and State standards.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including general educators, paraprofessionals, and service providers.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and regular parent communication.
