Step into an essential role supporting students’ growth and independence as a physical therapist in a vibrant educational setting near Joliet, IL. This contract position spans from August 17 to November 4, offering the opportunity to work onsite with a diverse caseload, including a focus on students in transition (ages 20–22). You’ll make a real impact by helping students in special education programs gain or adapt vital gross motor skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What we're seeking:

• Active Illinois Physical Therapy license
• Proven expertise working in pediatric and school-based settings
• Background delivering physical therapy to students with a variety of developmental needs
• Able to design and implement educationally relevant, individualized treatment plans
• Strong communication and collaborative skills

Key responsibilities include:

• Evaluating students’ gross motor strengths and areas for growth within the educational context
• Developing and documenting treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
• Collaborating with teachers, families, and the multidisciplinary team to foster students’ independence
• Supporting a smooth transition for older students into adulthood through targeted interventions
• Keeping clear, timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
