Step into a dynamic contract position focused on making a meaningful impact in early childhood education. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will support students in kindergarten through second grade, helping them achieve vital communication and learning goals. This full-time opportunity, spanning from October 1st through December 31st, involves 35 hours per week at a single elementary school site.
Your expertise will be instrumental in overseeing and performing evaluations, developing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering direct therapy to a range of young learners. Collaborate with educators and families, participate in essential meetings, and enjoy the professional satisfaction of seeing measurable progress in your students’ growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Maryland SLP license (or ability to obtain in a timely manner)
- Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings, particularly with K-2 populations
- Strong skills in evaluation, assessment, IEP development, and therapy provision
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-2 students
- Craft, update, and manage IEPs based on student progress and team input
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes
- Engage collaboratively with staff, administrators, and families
