ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified General Curriculum Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Danville, VA. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to support students with disabilities while working alongside a collaborative educational team focused on student growth and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
37.5 Hours per Week
In Person Only
2026–2027 School Year
Qualifications:
Active Virginia Special Education Teaching License with a General Curriculum endorsement required
Previous school-based special education experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Virginia state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
