REQUIREMENTS:
  • CDL Class A valid license
  • Current DOT
  • Clean Background and Drug Screen
  • Camera present in vehicle
Core Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation:
    Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer, with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeding 26,000 lbs and pulling a towed weight over 10,000 lbs.
  • Cargo Management:
    Load, unload, and secure freight, ensuring accurate counting and proper arrangement to prevent damage during transit.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections:
    Conduct thorough inspections of the truck and trailer before and after each trip to identify and report any mechanical or safety issues.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and timely records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Duties
  • Transportation:
    Pick up, transport, and deliver various types of cargo to assigned destinations, often over long distances.
  • Route and Schedule Management:
    Plan efficient routes and follow schedules to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Compliance:
    Obey all applicable traffic laws and hours-of-service regulations to ensure compliance with state and federal trucking rules.
  • Communication:
    Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to provide updates, report issues, and confirm delivery details.
  • Basic Maintenance:
    Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and refuelling.
  • Customer Interaction:
    Interact professionally with clients at delivery locations, obtaining signatures or scans to confirm delivery.
