Pay Rate: Starting at $30.19-$38.45 per hour
First Shift: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Second Shift: Monday-Friday | 2:30 PM - 12:00 AM
As a Systems Assembler, you'll support the final integration, testing, and preparation of sophisticated spacecraft and aerospace systems. Working alongside engineers, technicians, and manufacturing teams, you'll help ensure every assembly meets exact specifications and quality standards before launch and operation.
Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of innovative aerospace programs that demand exceptional precision, reliability, and performance.
What You'll DoIn this hands-on role, you will:
Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft systems, structures, and mechanical assemblies
Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
Install and integrate spacecraft components to precise engineering tolerances
Build and terminate wiring harnesses for racks, boxes, and spacecraft systems
Perform complete system leak checks, pressure testing, and alignment verification
Support the installation of Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) and Solid-Layer Insulation (SLI) on spacecraft
Carefully handle sensitive thermal insulation materials used on flight hardware
Operate specialized test and integration equipment, including:
Hydraulic test consoles
Cooling system test consoles
Alignment fixtures
Installation fixtures
Operate cranes, lift equipment, ovens, heated tools, positioners, and other production equipment
Utilize calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, digital multimeters (DMMs), and other inspection tools
Mix and apply epoxy materials according to specifications
Record test results and assist with data analysis and reporting
Generate documentation and discrepancy reports when required
Support integration activities, testing operations, hardware movement, and launch preparation efforts
Mentor and support team members while contributing to a culture of collaboration and excellence
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 4 years of experience assembling high-reliability products, preferably in aerospace or related industries
Experience building and terminating wiring harnesses to high-quality standards
At least 1 year of experience working with MLI or thermal blanket systems
Ability to interpret:
Mechanical drawings
Engineering schematics
Wiring diagrams
Technical specifications
Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools such as:
Calipers
Micrometers
Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
Depth gauges
Experience with assembly tooling, composites fabrication, or composite assemblies
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Experience mixing and applying epoxy materials
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
5+ years of spacecraft or aerospace integration experience
J-STD-001 Space Certification
NASA-STD-8739.4 Certification
Trade school training or industry certifications
Experience working in clean room environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
