Key Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching license with a Middle School ELA endorsement
- Bilingual certification or endorsement (Spanish/English)
- Proven experience working with middle school students in a bilingual or dual-language classroom
- Strong knowledge and implementation of ELA curriculum standards
- Excellent communication and cultural competency skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging ELA lessons to bilingual middle school students, ensuring lessons are accessible in both English and Spanish
- Develop, adapt, and implement dual-language curriculum to meet a variety of learners’ needs
- Monitor student progress, provide support, and tailor instruction to facilitate language acquisition
- Foster a culturally inclusive classroom community that encourages participation and celebrates diversity
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to enhance bilingual programming
- Communicate proactively with families to support student success
