Shift Differentials
- 7 AM – 3 PM: Saturday & Sunday – $1.25 extra/hour
- 3 PM – 11 PM: Monday–Thursday – $2.00 extra/hour
- 3 PM – 11 PM: Friday–Sunday – $3.00 extra/hour
- 11 PM – 7 AM: Monday–Thursday – $4.00 extra/hour
- 11 PM – 7 AM: Friday–Sunday – $5.00 extra/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide patient-centered care in a behavioral health and mental health setting. The RN will use the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and promote a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient care needs and develop individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care to diverse patient populations.
- Educate patients, families, and significant others regarding care and discharge planning.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Monitor patient conditions and report safety risks or changes to physicians and healthcare providers.
- Accurately document and report patient care information according to established policies.
- Provide leadership, delegate assignments, and coordinate staff activities.
- Promote staff development and may assist with training direct-care staff.
- Support medication management and physical health activities as required.
- Participate in scheduling, staffing, and pre-authorization activities when needed.
- Maintain professional standards and demonstrate strong communication and time-management skills.
- Support recovery-focused and person-centered care in community residential settings.
- Maintain required annual training and demonstrate competency in assigned programs.
- May serve as a Charge Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Professional knowledge of psychiatric/behavioral health nursing is highly preferred.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations in a culturally inclusive environment.
- Physical and emotional stamina to meet the needs of patients.
- Ability to work effectively in potentially challenging or high-acuity environments.
New graduates may be considered! Candidates with previous Psychiatric/Behavioral Health or Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience are preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
A valid Michigan driver's license and ability to access Pine Rest transportation vehicles may be required for certain job duties.
