Job Title: Shift Cleanroom Assembler

Job Description

A leading supplier of surgical one-time-use items, instruments, and kits for hospitals and healthcare product manufacturers is seeking a Cleanroom Production Assembler to work in their department. This role primarily involves the assembly of medical devices in a controlled cleanroom environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision.

Responsibilities

• Insert products into tubes using significant force and repetitive motion.
• Utilize glue to assemble medical devices such as respirators.
• Count, cut, measure, fold, or modify raw materials as per Device Master Record instructions.
• Complete necessary inspections and document quantities, control numbers, and other requirements per QS & GMP policy.
• Perform on-line inspections of each device as it is produced and report any issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Seal products in their final packaging using proper procedures and machine settings.
• Prepare packaged work in progress for sterilization, completing necessary documentation and control numbers per QS & GMP.
• Maintain proper inventory control procedures including product staging, segregation, and rotation.
• Perform and document scheduled facility cleaning per QS standards.
• Understand and conform to proper Clean Room etiquette.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with production, purchasing, quality, and senior management to achieve assigned goals.
• Meet objectives of the quality management system and recommend improvements as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation to work.
• Preferred 1-year experience in cleanroom, medical assembly, or warehouse.
• Proven team leader capabilities.
• Ability to operate basic production equipment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Work Environment

The position is based in a cleanroom environment with 4 employees in a new department. Employees are required to wear cleanroom gear including scrubs, a white coat, gloves, a hairnet, and avoid makeup, jewelry, eyelashes, or nails. The environment may involve exposure to glue fumes, with fans available to mitigate the smell. Employees must be comfortable working in a Spanish-only environment for tenured employees and have basic English skills to read work orders and communicate with auditors/supervisors. The role requires flexibility to float between departments and adhere to set break times. The shift is Monday to Friday, 5 am – 1:30 pm, with potential overtime until 3:30 pm or on Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Placentia, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
