Position Overview

A highly respected healthcare organization in Illinois is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join its women’s health team. This role is ideal for compassionate nurses who are passionate about maternal and newborn care while delivering exceptional patient-centered nursing services.

The RN will provide clinical leadership, coordinate patient care, and support mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions during labor and delivery
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Provide patient and family education throughout the childbirth process
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Support safety, infection control, and quality care standards

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License required
• ADN required (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• NRP Certification required within 1 year of hire
• BLS/CPR certification preferred within 90 days of hire
• ACLS certification highly preferred within 90 days of hire
