Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled ultrasound technologist is needed to perform general sonography procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This contract opportunity offers a consistent day shift schedule, allowing for a balanced work week and opportunities to build clinical expertise.
Schedule:
- Four 8-hour shifts each week (32 hours per week)
- Day shift
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer, specializing in general ultrasound imaging
- Current certification through ARDMS or equivalent credentials
- Demonstrated ability to operate ultrasound equipment and perform high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Strong knowledge of patient positioning, imaging protocols, and safety procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Key responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive general ultrasound exams in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring clinicians to assess image quality and achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Clean, maintain, and assess ultrasound equipment to support reliable operation
- Adhere to established infection control and safety standards
