Job Description

• Design and develop automation and control systems for battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Configure SCADA systems and develop HMI interfaces using Ignition and MATLAB
• Support system networking, hardware integration, and cybersecurity requirements
• Build and validate electrical simulation models using PSCAD
• Mentor a team of four  engineers as the department grows with future projects, will grow in title and responsibilities
• Travel approximately 20% for system installation and commissioning

Key Requirements 

• 7+ years of electrical engineering, controls, automation, or related industry experience
• 2+ years of battery energy storage system design experience
• Experience supporting power plant or utility-scale applications
• Knowledge of SCADA, HMI development, industrial networking, and control-system cybersecurity
• Experience with PSCAD, Ignition, and MATLAB is strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required
