SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a dedicated team of engineers within the building automation sector. The primary focus of this role is to balance project financials, enforce engineering standards, and serve as the principal commercial point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is an organized, commercially minded leader who thrives when managing concurrent technical projects, leading cross-functional teams, and navigating complex customer relationships.
ResponsibilitiesManage large-scale and multiple concurrent building automation projects seamlessly from initial scoping through final delivery.
Drive project margin accountability by implementing strategies to optimize financial health, cost projections, cash flow reporting, and monthly job invoicing.
Establish and rigorously monitor comprehensive project schedules to guarantee on-time completion and operational excellence.
Forecast resource requirements accurately, presenting detailed scope, schedule, and resource plans to organizational leadership.
Mitigate potential project risks systematically, identifying root causes of schedule deviations and executing necessary corrective actions.
Serve as the primary commercial contact for customers, confidently negotiating Terms & Conditions and efficiently quantifying project change orders.
Provide robust technical guidance to engineering teams, strictly enforcing engineering standards, quality plans, and Quality Management System (QMS) participation.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal project management tools while balancing team development with ultimate customer satisfaction.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven project leadership experience, functioning successfully as a Project Manager or Technical Lead.
Industry Experience: Strong foundational understanding of HVAC systems within large-scale Building Automation Systems (BAS), including familiarity with sequences of operations, P&IDs for plant utilities, instrumentation, and control valves.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Project and the MS Office Suite. Hands-on experience with building automation and industrial controls (e.g., Rockwell, Schneider, AVEVA, Inductive Automation) is highly preferred.
Additional Experience: Previous onsite commissioning experience is a strong plus.
Core Competencies: Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and team motivation skills, with a proven track record of scheduling and leading highly effective meetings with internal engineering groups and external customers.
