Location: Forest Park, GA | Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm | Pay: $18/hr
About the RoleAs a MIG Production Welder, you'll play a critical role in supporting production operations by fabricating and welding metal structures in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll help ensure products meet exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
What You'll DoAs a valued member of the production team, you will:
Perform MIG welding on metal equipment and structural components in a production setting.
Operate welding machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding specifications, routers, and work instructions.
Measure and inspect workpieces to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Operate additional production equipment as needed.
Strong MIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Experience welding thin-gauge metal while maintaining high-quality weld standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, welding specifications, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use measuring tools such as rulers and tape measures.
Graduate of a recognized welding trade school or vocational welding program.
Additional fabrication or manufacturing experience.
Experience working in high-volume production environments.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of more than 75 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with loud noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, and varying conditions.
To ensure success in the role, all candidates will complete a hands-on weld test during the interview process. This assessment will demonstrate welding proficiency and the ability to work effectively with thin-gauge materials.
