Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid School Psychologist credential or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Recent experience in school psychology, preferably within K-12 environments
- Strong ability to conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Effective communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and parents
- Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and 504 plans
- Commitment to cultural responsiveness and advocacy for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments for referred students
- Provide counseling, intervention, and support for students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to student support teams
- Offer crisis intervention and consult on behavioral management strategies
- Promote positive school climate and mental health awareness
