Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the full academic year. This position is based in a vibrant school environment and focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language services to students.
Bring your expertise to oversee assessments, conduct student evaluations, develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide targeted direct therapy, and take part in IEP meetings. As a valued member of the educational team, your insights will help shape student success throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Virginia
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEPs, assessments, and individualized interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable with virtual communication platforms (Zoom/Teams) for interviews and collaboration
- Commitment to ethical practice and student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and document findings
- Develop, write, and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with stakeholders
- Provide direct therapy services as assigned
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support student goals
- Offer insights and interventions tailored to student needs
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state guidelines
