Qualifications:
- Valid New York State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Previous experience working with students across the K-12 range
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs for DHH students
- Proficiency using assistive technology and accommodations for hearing-impaired learners
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with staff, students, and families
- Comfortable with in-person, virtual, and hybrid instructional settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet varying student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to promote inclusion and success
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Utilize technology to support remote and blended learning models as needed
