Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred
- Expertise in resource and co-teaching instructional methods
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
- Ability to adapt lessons and provide differentiated support for diverse learning needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students with varying disabilities within resource rooms and general education settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement co-teaching strategies and inclusive practices
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports for all students on your caseload
- Actively engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with families to support student success
- Uphold all state and federal special education guidelines
