Schedule:
- Wednesday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Core Responsibilities:
- Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal standards.
- Monitor patient medication adherence, identifying patterns of over-usage.
- Maintain confidential and precise records of all patients, ensuring proper documentation and record management.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer their questions to support safe and effective treatment.
- Provide consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including information about storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Offer patient services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the correct use and maintenance of medical devices, like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
- Compound medications for internal and external use, preparing sterile solutions following strict procedural standards.
- Supervise pharmacy team members, including technicians and clerks, to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.
- Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners to address drug-related problems.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Washington State.
- Experience in Long Term Care, Mail Order, or Retail pharmacy environments.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
