Shipping Associate II – International Shipping

Location: Batesville, IN 47006

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Summary

The Shipping Associate II will handle domestic and international customer shipments, prepare export/customs documentation, coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders, and ensure shipments comply with U.S. and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship international customer orders.
• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and export documentation.
• Coordinate and track international shipments by air, sea, or land.
• Work with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Process orders from entry through shipment and provide tracking information to customers.
• Follow customer shipping instructions and resolve carrier/shipping issues.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign import/export requirements.
• Review Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and determine ECCN classifications when required.
• Create and modify customer invoices using Adobe Acrobat/Kofax.
• Escalate unresolved shipping issues to the warehouse supervisor.

Required Skills

• International shipping experience – MUST HAVE
• Knowledge of import/export and customs requirements.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and global trade regulations.
• Experience working with freight forwarders and international carriers.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred but not required: Certified Export Specialist (CES) or IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations certification.
