Switchgear Assembly Technician
Full-Time | Manufacturing
We are seeking mechanically inclined, team-oriented candidates to assemble sheet metal and electrical components for medium-voltage (5–38kV) switchgear. This role does not involve working with live electricity. Hours are Monday-Thursday 6a-5p, Friday 6a-Noon. Pay is $20/hr.
Responsibilities
- Assemble metal-clad and metal-enclosed switchgear using hand tools
- Install breakers, bus assemblies, barriers, switches, and metering components
- Read and follow engineering drawings and build instructions
- Ensure work meets quality, safety, and ANSI standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Mechanical or assembly experience preferred
- Proficient with tape measures and hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, torque and Allen wrenches)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Must pass an industrial skills test, drug screen, and background check
Preferred
- Experience with switchgear or industrial equipment assembly
