Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Special Education Teacher for K-2 Resource/Cross Categorical classrooms, supporting young learners on Fort Huachuca Army base. As part of this contract position, you’ll provide essential services to students near Dragoon, AZ, helping each child reach their fullest potential through personalized instruction and compassionate support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience teaching K-2 students, including Resource/Cross Categorical settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Flexibility and commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Create engaging lessons tailored to students’ learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development activities
