Job Description

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on rental equipment in the field, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain rental equipment such as water pumps, generators, concrete tools, and air compressors.
• Investigate and diagnose equipment faults and failures, recommending appropriate repairs.
• Perform light repairs on both rental and customer-owned equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly shop environment.
• Pressure wash equipment and ensure safe and proper operation.
• Assist with part lookup, repair estimates, and customer inquiries.
• Load and unload rental equipment, process paperwork for rental contracts and invoices.
• Respond to outside rental service calls and resolve rental disputes promptly.
• Educate customers on the proper operation of rental equipment.
• Ensure equipment availability and maintain an organized yard.

• Electrical DC and control systems
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems
• Ignition and fuel systems
• Small engine and diesel engine repair
• AC generator and air compressor maintenance
• Trash and water pump repairs
• Heating system maintenance
• Gas, hydraulic, and electric saw repairs
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of small engine knowledge and mechanical ability desired
• Basic computer knowledge
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Ability to read and understand parts diagrams and schematics
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Work Environment

Wear company-provided uniforms and operate within standard business hours, with occasional after-hours service calls.

This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $62400.00/yr.
