As a paraprofessional, you’ll play a vital role in various special education programs, working alongside educators to provide personalized assistance and help students reach their full potential from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027.

You’ll have the option to indicate your preference among resource, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase, or Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase programming. You’ll work at Evergreen Park Elementary, Monday through Friday for 32.5 hours each week, supporting students with dedicated compassion and a collaborative spirit. Willingness to assist with toileting is a necessary expectation for all support staff.

Qualifications:

• Must be highly qualified via one of these: passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (ParaEducator Exam) OR at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required).
• Experience working with children or special education populations is valued.
• Ability to provide a current resume and the required HQ proof (transcripts or exam results) for district consideration—candidates without both will not be presented.
• Adaptable communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to perform all duties, including personal care tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Support instructional and non-instructional needs for students in assigned special education programs.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and individual accommodations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide encouragement, assist with daily activities, and model appropriate behaviors.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
