Job Title: Electrician Technician (Multi-Craft Maintenance)
Job Description
This role is a multi-craft maintenance position responsible for independently handling all electrical and mechanical issues at a brand-new overflow facility. You will support three production lines, including two assembly lines and one crossflow headline, and ensure reliable operation of Rockwell PLCs, automation camera systems, and related equipment. This is a smaller, laid-back site with a close-knit team, where you will serve as the primary on-site maintenance resource.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary, on-site multi-craft maintenance technician responsible for both electrical and mechanical systems at the facility.
- Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues up to 480V on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Rockwell PLC systems, including PLC programming and logic adjustments as needed.
- Support and maintain automation camera and vision systems to ensure accurate and reliable operation on the production lines.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment, including conveyors, robotics, lift stations, and related machinery.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including identifying leaks, replacing components, and ensuring proper system performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and automation systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Perform electrical machine repair tasks, including wiring, component replacement, and control system adjustments.
- Monitor and maintain conveyor systems, ensuring smooth operation and addressing issues such as misalignment, wear, and mechanical failures.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations and other team members to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and changes to equipment or control systems as required by facility standards.
- Support installation and commissioning of new lines and equipment, including two new lines being installed, ensuring they are properly integrated and functional.
- Maintain a safe work area and follow all safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical and mechanical systems.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to electrically diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment independently.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with industrial conveyors, including maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in Rockwell PLC troubleshooting and PLC programming.
- Experience with automation camera and vision systems in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience in electrical maintenance, including electrical wiring and machine repair.
- Experience in industrial maintenance and maintenance repair in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Ability to work independently as the primary maintenance technician at a facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with robotics in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lift station maintenance and repair.
- Previous experience supporting multiple production lines, such as assembly lines and crossflow systems.
- Comfort working in a smaller, close-knit facility with a lean maintenance structure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic production environment.
