Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students (DHH)
- Strong knowledge of strategies and technologies that support Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
- Experience working in school settings with a range of grade levels
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned counties; reliable transportation required
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide specialized instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in various school locations
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers and staff on accommodations and best practices for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Assess student progress and communicate goals and achievements with staff and families
- Advocate for access and student success in the general curriculum
- Maintain accurate records and participate in required meetings
