This contract opportunity spans the academic year, beginning at the end of August 2026 through early June 2027, offering regular weekday hours from 9:00am–3:45pm (with a 30-minute lunch break). Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Minnesota LPN license required
- School nursing or pediatric healthcare experience preferred
- Confidence in handling common childhood illnesses, injuries, and medication administration
- Outstanding communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Must submit both MN LPN license and up-to-date resume with application
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily nursing care, first aid, and health oversight for elementary students and staff
- Dispense and track prescribed and over-the-counter medications according to physician and district guidelines
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records and documentation
- Communicate clearly with parents/guardians regarding student health needs or incidents
- Support students with chronic health conditions, ensuring medical plans are followed
- Collaborate with education staff to support student participation and safety throughout the school day
