Senior Electrical Engineer – Industrial Power SystemsIf you’re an experienced electrical engineer who loves solving complex industrial power challenges, this role puts you at the center of high‑impact design work. You’ll lead AC power system design from 120V up to 15kV, develop PLC‑based control solutions, and shape the electrical direction of major industrial projects. You’ll work closely with designers, project teams, and field personnel while helping grow a dynamic satellite office supporting large‑scale industrial design operations.
What You’ll Do- Lead industrial power system design for AC systems from 120V–15kV and PLC control applications.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations including short circuit, voltage drop, arc flash, cable/conduit sizing, lighting, and heat trace.
- Develop complete electrical drawing packages: one‑lines, installation details, panel schedules, motor schematics, routing plans, and field wiring diagrams.
- Write clear equipment specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and other power distribution components.
- Ensure compliance with NEC and relevant NFPA standards.
- Guide and mentor electrical designers to maintain quality and consistency across deliverables.
- Support field activities by reviewing installations, troubleshooting issues, and validating design intent.
- Use modern engineering tools including Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, ETAP, and SKM.
- Collaborate with project teams to clarify requirements, present solutions, and resolve technical challenges.
- Manage documentation and priorities to keep projects organized and on schedule.
- Follow safety practices during site visits involving ladders, stairs, temperature extremes, varying air quality, and noise.
- Occasional travel to client facilities or other office locations.
