Job Description
The Workplace Experience Coordinator / Pantry Coordinator leads the day-to-day operations of an on-site pantry and workplace market while working hands-on alongside a team of three coordinators. This role combines direct service responsibilities such as stocking, organizing, and maintaining food and beverage areas with team oversight, task coordination, and performance management to ensure a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment for employees and guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pantry, market, and backstock areas to ensure a professional and inviting environment.
- Stock and rotate pantry inventory, confirming that all items are fresh and within expiration dates.
- Maintain full knowledge of the menu and product assortment to support accurate stocking and responsive service.
- Order and receive pantry supplies, ensuring accurate delivery and proper storage.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly notify management when supplies are running low.
- Set up and replenish self-serve food and beverage stations throughout the day.
- Keep all pantry and market equipment clean, sanitized, and in good working order.
- Monitor the pantry area to ensure full compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and guests, responding to questions and requests in a professional manner.
- Assist with special events and catering requests, including setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed.
- Oversee the daily operations of a three-person coordinator team, including delegating tasks and ensuring responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for team questions or operational issues, resolving concerns when possible and elevating to management when necessary.
- Provide formal supervision to employees by monitoring training, supporting development, and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities by establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines, ensuring the team meets operational timelines and service expectations.
- Mentor and coach team members to support performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure support provided by the team is efficient, consistent, and aligned with workplace experience standards.
- Suggest and contribute to process improvement efforts on a regular basis to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Participate directly in food preparation and cleaning duties while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support overall workplace experience and pantry operations.
Essential Skills
- Prior food and beverage experience in a pantry, foodservice, or similar environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service mindset and professional presence when interacting with employees and guests.
- Prior experience in a lead or role overseeing daily activities or team members (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and consistently.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods of time during the workday.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks that require frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 lbs.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while balancing individual responsibilities with oversight and coordination duties.
- Ability to follow and apply health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, inventory rotation, and cleanliness.
- Effective communication skills to provide clear direction, respond to escalations, and interact with staff and guests.
