A full-time, contract occupational therapist is needed to provide exceptional care and guidance, helping students develop essential fine and gross motor skills for academic and personal success. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and to make a difference in the daily lives of children.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Proven experience in school-based OT, home health, or healthcare settings
- Solid understanding of fine and gross motor skill development
- Experience developing and implementing individualized plans for students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Ability to efficiently manage time and case load in a dynamic environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy to improve fine motor, gross motor, and daily living skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to facilitate student participation and success in school activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Support students in both pull-out and push-in therapy models
