Make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by bringing your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a supportive school environment near Scranton, SC. We are seeking dedicated professionals to fill two immediate contract openings—one serving grades 6-12 in a self-contained / PRTF classroom (8-10 students, in-person only), and another supporting elementary students (grades 3-5, 12-15 students) in a resource setting. These positions offer full-time hours (37.5 per week) and the chance to work closely with a collaborative educational team.
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Current state Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with students in special education settings
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse classroom needs
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students based on IEPs
- Develop lesson plans that accommodate different learning abilities and styles
- Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and support services as needed
- Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
- Encourage a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and school activities
