Make a lasting impact in the lives of elementary students by taking on a pivotal contract role as a Special Education Teacher. Working with students in grades 3-6, you’ll be responsible for delivering push-in services within an engaging and supportive school environment. You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to provide inclusive instruction, empowering each student to reach their full potential.

Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8am-3:30pm, offering a consistent routine as you support the academic and social growth of your students.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education licensure/certification for Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Familiarity with inclusive practices and push-in service models
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and problem-solving abilities to meet the changing needs of students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in special education services for students in grades 3-6 classrooms
• Support differentiated instruction and modifications in partnership with classroom teachers
• Develop and deliver tailored interventions to support student success
• Collect, track, and report student progress toward IEP goals
• Engage in parent and team conferences to review and adjust student plans as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
