A pharmacy is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Edwardsville, IL. This role offers 24-30 hours per week with a schedule that supports a balanced work-life dynamic and provides on-call compensation.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: Emergency orders only (On-call 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; $8/hour paid for on-call availability)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and verify prescriptions
- Provide counseling to patients regarding medications
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and protocols
- Manage typical retail pharmacy duties efficiently and professionally
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to optimize medication therapy
Qualifications:
- Illinois Pharmacy License (required)
- PharmD degree preferred
- Experience with PioneerRx software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
