What’s a typical day as a Fish ID Technician? You’ll be:
- Performing routine fish identification duties under close supervision, including coded-wire tagging, fin clipping, and other marking techniques.
- Assisting the Lead and hatchery staff with quality inspections and the transfer of fish from ponds or net pens to the trailer.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including trailers, restrooms, and breakrooms.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Are willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, and can adapt to various tasks as needed.
- Possess strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control in fish marking processes.
