About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Math Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will create an environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic growth while supporting students with varying levels of mathematical ability.
Job Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with Louisiana academic standards
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
- Create and administer assessments to measure student understanding and progress
- Analyze student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly
- Provide individualized support and intervention to students requiring additional assistance
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and instructional documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, families, and support personnel
- Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school activities
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
- Integrate technology and instructional resources to enhance mathematical learning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with the appropriate Mathematics endorsement for the assigned grade level
- Completion of an approved teacher preparation program, including required student teaching or equivalent clinical experience
- Successful completion of applicable Louisiana certification examinations and literacy requirements
- Knowledge of Louisiana academic standards and curriculum requirements
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varied academic needs
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
