Embark on a rewarding short-term assignment as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students and staff during a leave coverage period from September 15, 2026, through October 27, 2026. What we’re looking for:

• Valid and active Special Education Teacher License for Connecticut
• Familiarity with any additional certifications required by the state or Board of Education
• Previous school-based experience in special education strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet a variety of learning needs
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
• Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for helping students achieve their goals

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct instructional support to students with special needs in a structured, inclusive environment
• Adapt and modify lessons and classroom activities to accommodate individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administration to ensure comprehensive support for each student
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Ensure a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the district
